Calling All Lawyers! Share Your Ideas for Legislative Changes to Tennessee Family Law

As a reader of this blog, you and I navigate the complexities of family law in Tennessee one post at a time. It’s clear that there are always opportunities for improvement and modernization. The Tennessee Bar Association’s Family Law Section plays a crucial role in proposing legislation that can make a real difference in the lives of families across our state. But we can’t do it alone—we need your input!

As Chair of the TBA Family Law Section’s Executive Council, I am reaching out to my readers to gather ideas and suggestions for legislative changes that could enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and overall impact of family law in Tennessee. Your professional insights and experiences are invaluable in shaping legislation that truly addresses the needs of Tennessee families.

Your suggestions will be reviewed by the Family Law Section’s leadership. The most promising ideas could be developed into formal proposals and submitted to TBA’s leadership for consideration. If approved, these proposals will then be submitted to the Tennessee General Assembly.

This is your chance to have a direct impact on the laws that govern family life in our state. Before August 18, please share your thoughts and ideas in the comments section below or directly with me via this contact form.

Together, let’s work towards a more effective and responsive family law system in Tennessee.
