2024 was an eventful year with several “firsts.” I became a board-certified specialist in Family Trial Law, Vice Chair of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Family Law Section, and I drafted two pieces of legislation that will be part of the TBA’s legislative package in 2025. It was another busy year for continuing legal education seminars. I delivered my annual “Tennessee Family Law Update” seminar to the Knoxville Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association. If you haven’t seen it yet, both are still available on demand via the links in the preceding sentence. At the Knoxville Bar’s Holiday Social a few weeks ago, I received the “Bag of Coal,” which is an honor in our local Family Law Section. 2024 is also the year that Vanderbilt became a football school. I’ll never forget watching the Vandy students march the goalposts down Broadway after shocking Alabama. What a sight! Between working, writing, and teaching, I still made time to get outside and enjoy nature. I published 105 blawg posts in 2024, bringing the total number of posts to 2,207 since I started almost 15 years ago (!!!). Blawg traffic was down this year, but the number of subscribers who automatically receive posts by email continues to grow. You can also get them sent to your inbox by subscribing below. Here are the 10 most popular posts of 2024: Cheers to making it through 2024. Onward to 2025!
