New York Times' Controversial "Vows" Story

A few weeks ago the New York Times created quite an uproar with a story in their “Vows” section.  The “Vows” column typically offers complementary profiles of the weddings of high profile or wealthy couples in New York City.  The controversial story profiled a couple who met when they were both married to and raising children with other spouses.  Their families’ socialized and vacationed together.  The profiled couple ended up divorcing their spouses and marrying each other.
Here is the original story that resulted in all sorts of criticism from readers, bloggers, and commentators.  Now one of the exes has responded.
